Your oneday included hop-on/hop-off sightseeing tour is your transportation line to Vancouver's major attractions, famous park, gardens, shopping areas, and restaurants. You can enjoy Vancouver's attractions at your own pace or you may choose to simply enjoy a quick and informative city tour. | Day 3 | Kamloops | Board the Rocky Mountaineer for a 2-day, alldaylight, classic rail journey from the Pacific Coast to the Canadian Rockies. Travel through the fertile Fraser Valley and Fraser Canyon. Upon arrival in Kamloops, transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay. (B,L)Note: For your convenience, baggage that will not be needed during the train journey will be checked through to Banff. Checked baggage will not be accessible during the journey. Plan to pack an overnight case with necessities for the train portion of the tour, including medications, eyeglasses, and other important items (for those who upgrade to GoldLeaf Service, your luggage will be delivered to the Kamloops hotel). |
| Day 4 | Banff | Transfer to Kamloops rail station and re-board your train. Today's highlights include stunning Shuswap Lake with it many miles of shoreline along with the Monashee Mountains and Glacier National Park. Travel through the heart of the Selkirk Mountains before entering spectacular Yoho National Park. The train winds through the Spiral Tunnels before climbing Kicking Horse Pass. Cross the Continental Divide into the Province of Alberta to Banff, 'Canada's Highest Town.' (B,L) |
| Day 5 | Banff | Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of the area that includes a visit to Lake Louise, Castle Mountain, and Moraine Lake. Afterward, there is plenty of free time for you to explore on your own. |
